geevin Privacy Policy
App: geevin (shown on Google Play as “geevin: Get Care. Give Care.”; Android package com.trustedfriendpca.app), on Android, iPhone and the web at app.trustedfriendpca.com.
Developer: geevin, operated by DTLemaire LLC, the company that publishes the app on Google Play and the App Store.
This Privacy Policy explains how DTLemaire LLC (“we,” “us”) collects, uses, shares and protects information in the geevin app. geevin connects people who need care with the people and licensed care agencies who provide it. Care itself is provided by the agency you work with or receive care from through geevin, which uses geevin to run its care, scheduling and billing.
Who uses geevin
- Families and clients who request care, follow visits and message the care team.
- Caregivers who set up a profile, find and work shifts, clock in and out, and see their hours and pay.
- Agency office staff and the agency's billing partner, who schedule care, approve time and bill for services.
Information we collect
Information you give us
- Account details: name, email address and phone number, used to sign you in and contact you.
- Care requests and care information: who care is for, the help needed, address, schedule, care plans, care tasks and visit notes, used to provide and coordinate care.
- Caregiver profile: availability, experience, profile photo, credentials and onboarding documents you choose to upload (for example, a signed background check consent form). We do not store Social Security numbers or background check report contents.
- Messages: messages sent in the app, and text messages if you turn them on.
- Billing and pay: invoices and payments for families, and hours and pay for caregivers. We never store full card or bank account numbers.
- Voice: if you use voice typing, your speech is turned into text as you speak. We keep the text, not the recording.
Information collected automatically
- Location (caregivers only): your phone's location when you clock in and clock out of a visit, used to verify the visit took place (electronic visit verification). We do not track location at other times.
- Activity and device: a record of actions taken in your account (for security and record keeping), basic technical information needed to run the app, and a notification token if you turn on notifications.
- “Learn how I work” (optional): page names, kinds of actions and time of day, so the app can put what you use first. It never includes client names, health details or message text. You can turn it off and erase what was learned in Settings.
How we use information
- To provide care, schedule visits, verify visits, pay caregivers and bill for services.
- To help caregivers complete onboarding, including the background check the law requires.
- To communicate with you, including sign-in codes, reminders and visit updates.
- To keep accounts secure and prevent misuse.
- To improve the app using counts that do not identify anyone.
- To meet legal, licensing and payer requirements.
We do not sell personal information, use it for advertising, or show ads.
Sharing of information
- Within your care team: the agency that serves you sees the information needed to provide care. Caregivers see only the clients and visits they are assigned to. Families see their own care.
- Service providers that run geevin for us and handle information only to perform those services: Amazon Web Services (hosting, email delivery, voice typing and the built-in AI assistant), Twilio (text messages) and Intuit QuickBooks (bookkeeping).
- Required by law or a payer: visit records sent to Nevada's electronic visit verification system, and claims to payers such as Medicaid or the VA when they require it.
We do not sell or share your phone number or text message consent with third parties for marketing.
Security
Information is encrypted when it travels between your device and our systems and is stored on secure servers. Access is limited to the people who need it for care, and office accounts use two-step sign-in.
Keeping and deleting information
You can ask us to delete your account at any time at trustedfriendpca.com/delete-account or by contacting us below. Care, visit, billing and pay records that the law or payers require us to keep are kept for the required period, then deleted. Learned shortcuts are deleted after 120 days without use, and with the account.
Your choices
- Turn notifications, text messages and “Learn how I work” on or off in Settings.
- Ask what information we have about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it.
- Reply STOP to any text to stop texts, or HELP for help.
Children
geevin is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
